bringing your parish's stories into view
Over the weekend, young people create media content for their parish together. They move from ideas to scripts, filming, recording and editing, supported by two experts or led by Petra with a parish employee's support.

Learning by doing and creating together
Young people help choose the topic, try different production roles and see their work in the finished content. No previous media skills are needed. Petra Paimenkallio and Bäsmä Roinisto combine media expertise, knowledge of parish work and safe, participatory group facilitation.
Petra Paimenkallio · AV specialist: Petra teaches scripting, filming, sound recording and editing and oversees the technical and editorial finishing of the work.
Bäsmä Roinisto · participation and group-work specialist: Bäsmä supports young people's participation, teamwork and idea development and helps with practical delivery. Petra has primary responsibility for AV production.
Solo option: The workshop can also be booked with Petra alone. A parish employee then attends the entire workshop and supports the young people on both days.

How the weekend unfolds
Before the workshop
We agree the goal, group, publication channels and practical arrangements with the parish. We prepare activities, equipment and the necessary participation and publication permissions. We arrive on Friday.
Saturday · 6 hours
Developing ideas, choosing roles and writing scripts. We practise filming and sound recording and begin shooting our own content. Breaks are included.
Sunday · 6 hours
We finish filming, practise editing and assemble the work. We end with a shared viewing and feedback. Any finishing work is completed after the workshop as agreed.
Weekend base package
Two ways to run the weekend workshop
Petra with parish staff support · €2,100 + VAT
In the single-expert option, only Petra's expert work is charged. A parish employee attends throughout Saturday and Sunday and supports the young people's work. Package content and group size are the same as in the two-expert option.
Book the workshop led by PetraPetra and Bäsmä · €3,600 + VAT
A workshop with two experts for 8–12 young people. The price includes advance planning, two six-hour workshop days, basic filming and sound equipment, finishing one video of up to approximately three minutes and one agreed revision round.
Travel expenses are added separately. Accommodation expenses also apply to journeys over 200 km each way from Hämeenlinna. The parish may provide suitable accommodation from Friday to Sunday, in which case Sheprock does not charge for accommodation. Any accommodation costs are agreed before confirmation. The parish provides suitable facilities, participants' meals and a local responsible adult. Group size, equipment, accessibility needs, scope and delivery schedule are agreed before ordering. Larger programmes are quoted individually.
Outputs for the parish to use
Agree publication rights in advance
The parish receives all economic copyright rights in the workshop outputs that can be transferred by agreement, including agreed publication, editing and usage rights. Rights to young people's own work, attribution, any remuneration and consent from people appearing in images and recordings are agreed separately with participants and, where needed, guardians. Terms for third-party music and other materials are documented.
Nobody has to appear on camera to take part. Scriptwriters, camera operators, sound recordists and editors also have important roles.
