Help us develop
shared confirmation content

What stories, images and questions resonate with young people? We invite young people aged 13–18 and professionals from different fields who work with them to develop answers together.

From young people to young people
Voluntary participation

Your own voice matters

13:1 is a Christian digital confirmation education resource being developed for young people. Participants do not need to belong to a parish, know church terminology or have filmmaking skills. We welcome different experiences and perspectives.

01

Develop ideas and give feedback

Comment on confirmation education content, suggest everyday topics and reflection questions, or try activities. Tell us what interests you and what does not feel relevant.

02

Create together

Join an agreed workshop and develop stories, photographs or illustrations. Interviews and short film production can offer other roles according to your interests.

03

Bring the group's perspective

Professionals in youth work, parishes, schools and other fields can suggest group partnerships, share the invitation with young people and support their self-expression.

Your pace · your boundaries

Have a say without having to perform

Participation is voluntary. You can help develop ideas without being filmed or appearing publicly, choose not to answer questions and stop participating. You do not have to discuss your religious views, health or other private matters.

We agree the task, schedule, responsible people and safe arrangements before participation. Sheprock makes editorial decisions about the confirmation content. Not all suggestions can be implemented, but young people's views are heard.

This invitation concerns voluntary idea development and cooperation. Any paid production work, remuneration and rights are agreed separately; the participation consent form is not an employment contract.

Let young people's own voices be heard

Participation consent and practical steps

  1. Tell us about your interest. Anyone under 18 should contact us together with a parent or guardian. Do not send personal identity numbers, images or signed consent forms through this form.
  2. We agree what to do. Sheprock explains the planned activities and use of materials. We complete the activity-specific sections of the consent form together.
  3. Take time to complete the consent form. Participants under 18 complete and sign the form with their guardian. Where guardianship is shared, we request both guardians' approval. Those aged 18 decide for themselves and sign the adult participant section.
  4. Return the consent form before participating. Return the consent form to Sheprock using a separately agreed secure method or on paper. Filming, audio and publication consent are separate voluntary choices, not a condition for joining idea sessions.

Guidance for organisations working with young people

You may share the invitation and consent form with your group. First agree arrangements with Sheprock and obtain an individual consent form for each young person. A professional or group leader does not sign on a guardian's behalf. The young person's own willingness to participate is also confirmed after guardian consent.

Check your organisation's consent and privacy practices. This permission does not independently authorise your organisation to publish young people's images. Do not send full participant lists or consent forms through an open form: agree secure delivery and retain only necessary information. Participating adults also agree their own filming and usage permissions.

The first step

Help shape confirmation content

Tell us how you would like to contribute. Contacting us does not commit you to participating or grant filming or publication permission. You will receive an acknowledgement on this page; we reply personally.
